Working within an educational environment to act as a point of reference for catering activities / services. Management of the main kitchen menu on a daily basis and ensuring the kitchen is constantly stocked.

Working within an educational environment to act as a point of reference for catering activities / services. Management of the main kitchen menu on a daily basis and ensuring the kitchen is constantly stocked.
The ideal candidate will be mainly responsible for:
- Plan varied daily menus to suit various dietary preferences and needs
- Organise weekly stock orders
- Maintain a well-stocked kitchen
- Liaise with the finance department on allocated budgets
- Handle food preparation prior to meals
- Maintaining a clean kitchen environment and complying with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen and communication with relevant staff members
- Act as a point of reference for staff and boarding students alike on food related queries
- Report directly to the Bursar and Head of School
- Organise regular meetings to ensure needs are met and also collect feedback
Requirements:
- Proven ability and experience in kitchen management
- Experience in catering and operation of a medium sized kitchen
- Good knowledge and experience in Asian cuisine would be considered an asset
- In possession of a valid food handling licence
- Must have a friendly / outgoing disposition
