Purpose
The role is primarily responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets in the various therapeutic areas by developing growth plans and launching new products. It requires innovative strategies to adapt to the healthcare landscape while ensuring ethical compliance. Purpose
The role is primarily responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets in the various therapeutic areas by developing growth plans and launching new products. It requires innovative strategies to adapt to the healthcare landscape while ensuring ethical compliance. The position also focuses on leading a high-performing team and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the established targets for each Therapeutic Area (TA) brand by driving sales, expanding market share, and enhancing profitability.
- Drive the growth of the TAs by establishing growth plans for existing products, effectively managing their life cycle, and successfully launching line extensions and new products.
- Design and drive innovative commercial models to maximize the impact of all medical-led activities, as well as define, drive, and oversee the launch planning and execution of upcoming key launches.
- Lead and monitor the budget and financial performance of the TA, ensure alignment with all ethics, risk, and compliance policies, and manage key processes.
- Lead the execution of the Prohealth strategy by developing and supporting the execution of brand plans for established and new products.
- Partner with other Prohealth Business Units such as L’Oreal Dermatological Beauty (LDB), Nestle and Galderma, amongst others, to ensure and support in the development of an agile, digital, and customer-led solution strategy which meets the evolving needs of the business, our customers, and patients.
- Support strategic portfolio development activities for the business.
- Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with customers (such as physicians, key accounts, speciality pharmacies, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and payors) to support medical and commercial activities.
- Successfully lead the Therapeutic Leads team, build a high-performing culture, foster innovation, and manage all people management-related processes as well as identify and build key capabilities and talent pipeline, and ensure proper development of assigned people.
- Attract, develop, and retain top-level talent, from various industries, and develop strong succession plans.
- Lead the implementation of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system by assessing company requirements, selecting an appropriate CRM platform and vendor, and overseeing the end-to-end setup.
Requirements
- A university degree in Pharmacy, Science, Business, Medicine, or any other relevant field.
- Preferably, having a minimum of five years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and / or leading a team.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation would be considered an asset.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A strong commercial focus, enabling informed decisions that align with business objectives.
- A valid driving license.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
