IT Operator

We are currently recruiting for the position of IT Operator in our Shipyard located in Malta.

Role Description
Our company is looking for an IT Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have technical skills and a strong passion for technology and innovation. The role involves managing the company's IT infrastructure, providing technical support to internal users, and resolving hardware and software issues.

Main Responsibilities

• Providing technical assistance (on-site and remote) to internal users for daily IT issues (hardware, software, and network)


• Manage the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, workstations, and peripherals


• Configure and manage computers, servers, and mobile devices


• Installing, configuring, and updating software and operating systems


• Manage IT security policies (backup, antivirus, firewall, etc.)


• Monitor IT system performance and troubleshoot any anomalies

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or equivalent


• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role


• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), knowledge of Italian is a plus


• In-depth knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and / or Linux operating systems


• Ability to manage corporate networks (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)


• Familiarity with server management, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud environments
