Our client is currently seeking a Lawyer.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To perform all legal work which may be performed by a practising Lawyer in accordance with the standards of the profession.

  • Monitor legal risks in documentation and provide risk assessments.

  • Interpret local and / or EU law, court rulings and regulations.

  • Conduct legal research and gather evidence as may be required.

  • Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before documents are executed.

  • To hold meetings with persons involved in assigned cases and give legal advice.

  • Offer legal representation at arbitration or mediation hearings.

  • Draft and review company regulations and / or related documents as instructed by the CEO or his / her delegate.

  • Manage regulatory and compliance-related services.

  • Offer legal representation to the Company in court proceedings on civil or criminal matters.

  • Perform the necessary preparatory work in order to produce evidence in court cases and to plead in such court cases as may be assigned to them.

  • Follow up after a court decision has been handed down or a settlement has been reached in relation to the Company, ensuring that all parties action on what they've been committed or ordered to do.

  • To assist when requested in the vetting of tender documents and contracts.

  • To assist in contract negotiations and conclusion of contracts and / or tenders as necessary.

  • Participate in negotiations on behalf of the Company.

  • Attend all obligatory training as required by the company in order to be able to fulfil the role whilst obtaining the relevant knowledge, skills and techniques.

  • To perform any other duties which may be assigned from the CEO and / or his designate.

  • To provide legal opinions in issues related to parliamentary questions related to the Company.


Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) or a Master’s in Advocacy.
