Job Description

Multitude Bank plc is looking for a dynamic and structured Investment Associate to assist in building and managing the Bank’s investment portfolio. Working within a dedicated team, the Investment Associate will assist in reviewing potential investment opportunities that are in line with the overall investment strategy, risk appetite, and required rate of return on the bank’s investment portfolio. The Investment Associate will also be responsible for monitoring both the performance of investments and trends in key markets that may affect the portfolio. To be successful you must be able to work efficiently and effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You will have experience in the financial services or investment sectors, and you will focus on providing investment recommendations to the Bank based on the in-depth financial market and investee analysis.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assisting in the construction of successful investment portfolios;
  • Helping with coordinating communication with investee counterparts, including introductions, investment proposals, negotiations, and post-investment monitoring;
  • Liaising with key internal personnel to complete the required assessments prior to and after the investment is made;
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentation material for the respective committee/s for approval;
  • Monitoring key covenants of all investments and ensuring effective adherence to established procedures when breaches are flagged;
  • Monitoring of market conditions, investment research, and portfolio performance;
  • Evaluating the performance of investment portfolios and ensuring compliance with standards provided by regulatory bodies, including conformance with anti-money laundering requirements;
  • Staying up to date with relevant investment and trading news, and economic trends;
  • Supporting the broader investment team in the delivery of portfolio targets;
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a detailed understanding of financial services and investment instruments;
  • Has 2-3 years of experience in professional Investment management and analysis;
  • Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, along with an inquisitive mind;
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance;
  • Willing to travel and meet potential and existing investees.
