Job Description

A prominent energy infrastructure company, recognized for its commitment to safety, health, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards, is seeking to recruit an experienced HSEQ Manager. This role will focus on driving regulatory compliance and maintaining top-tier safety, environmental protection, and quality across their operations.

As the HSEQ Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement policies related to safety, environment, and quality, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Oversee the correct application of safety, health, and environmental measures, ensuring the certification of existing standards and obtaining certification for new standards.
  • Define and manage the quality management system, ensuring its effective application.
  • Lead integrated audits, supervise inspections, and monitor security controls at the terminal.
  • Investigate accidents, generate reports, and implement corrective measures to meet health and safety policy objectives.
  • Coordinate with the external prevention service to safeguard worker health and safety, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure terminal personnel are trained and informed about the environmental management system and the relevant risks outlined in assessments and the self-protection plan.
  • Ensure compliance with the environmental monitoring programme, environmental impact statement, and relevant legislation.
  • Manage hazardous waste and prepare required reports for regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date procedures related to safety, risk prevention, environment, and quality.
  • Lead emergency planning and ensure effective execution of emergency plans.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent, or relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with a focus on industrial safety (industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and applied psychosociology experience is desirable).
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in similar roles, is a plus.
  • NEBOSH certification (desirable).
  • Proficiency in English is essential and knowledge of the Spanish language is an asset.
  • Spanish language skills (desirable).
