Mezzodi is Valletta’s newest Italian style trattoria headed by Malta’s renowned Diacono family restaurateurs.
The restaurant will be offering the finest of Italy’s classic dishes with a local twist within the luxurious setting of Valletta’s newest and most luxurious 5-star hotel, Domus Zammitello.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and operating as a café in between we require an experienced and passionate team with whom we can build Valletta’s latest brand.
We are currently looking to recruit a Restaurant Manager who is responsible for the team, rostering and smooth running of day to day operations working hand in hand with the Director.
The role will include:
- Welcoming and seating guests
- Advising guests of any specials and assisting with beverage selection
- Assisting wait staff with service
- Ordering and receiving of stocks
- Closing of daily cash and basic accounting
- Consistent monitoring of food, beverage and service standards
- Rostering of weekly shifts for all staff
- Monitoring of health and hygiene standards
- Handling guest complaints
- Any other duties as deemed suitable by the Director
- Fluent in the English language
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A passion for food, beverage and excellent customer service with an eye for detail
