Overall Purpose
We are seeking a creative and analytical eLearning Specialist (Instructional Designer) to join our Training and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, innovative and learning-effective materials that will meet our training needs. They will use their extensive knowledge of instructional design models and learning theories to design and implement a variety of learning solutions, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning experiences.

We are seeking a creative and analytical eLearning Specialist (Instructional Designer) to join our Training and Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, innovative and learning-effective materials that will meet our training needs. They will use their extensive knowledge of instructional design models and learning theories to design and implement a variety of learning solutions, including eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning experiences.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research, assess and make recommendations to HODs on training relevant to the skills set and knowledge required by Medilink staff and contractors to carry out their duties.
- To identify the needs and demands of clients for ongoing courses and CPD development.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practices and methods to design and develop course content and gamified quizzes.
- Design, develop, and implement appropriate training programs to meet training needs including onboarding programs for new employees, professional development courses, and ongoing training for all staff.
- Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of the educational programs, analysing the data to continually improve learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in the preparation of high-quality content and identify target audience's training needs.
- Use a variety of software and technology tools to create engaging, interactive learning materials.
- To ensure that the format of all training undertaken reflects the latest in training methodology and content, is industry appropriate and legally compliant.
- To lead the ongoing development of Medilink’s online learning management system (LMS) and maintain the LMS up to date with the latest applicable training solutions.
- To enrol students in the appropriate eLearning courses and be responsible for the management of courses and students including the issuance of certificates.
- Maintain records of employee participation in all training and development programs.
- Identify market demands for eLearning in areas in which Medilink International offers commercial services and work with the Marketing department to prepare materials for the promotion of the company's training activities.
- Adhere to all company HSSE policies and initiatives and proactively promote a HSSE environment.
- Execute any duties assigned by the company, commensurate with the employee skills, competencies and experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and instructional design software (Articulate, Captivate, etc).
- Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one learning management system.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio / video scripts.
- Exceptional project management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or a similar role.
- Previous experience in creation of eLearning materials using Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, iSpring or other authoring software.
- Previous experience of working in and managing learning management systems.
- Demonstrates creativity and effective problem-solving skills.
- Good Knowledge of adult learning theories and latest gamification trends.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Attention to detail and focus orientated.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Qualification in Instructional Design.

- Required: proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
- Ideal: proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the below languages
