We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Laboratory Receptionist / Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the laboratory. Your responsibilities will include front desk management, administrative support, and coordinating with both clients and staff to maintain an organized, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front desk management: Greet clients and visitors, answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling.

  • Administrative support: Handle general office tasks, including filing, data entry, scanning, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Sample handling and documentation: Assist with receiving, labelling, and documenting laboratory samples following established procedures.

  • Communication coordination: Serve as a liaison between laboratory staff and clients, providing status updates and relaying any important information.

  • Inventory management: Track and order office and laboratory supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.

  • Billing and invoicing support: Assist with preparing and processing invoices, and managing records of transactions.

  • Compliance and safety: Follow established laboratory safety guidelines and protocols, and ensure that the reception and office areas are clean, organized, and safe.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in office management or medical/laboratory fields are advantageous.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a high-paced enviorment as a receptionist or office assistant role, ideally in a laboratory or healthcare setting.


Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Personal attributes: Friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
