Job Description

We are currently seeking a Compliance Specialist / Analyst to join our team.

Duties:

  • Assisting the Compliance Officer and MLRO in maintaining and developing a compliance culture with all legislation and regulations applicable
  • Supporting the Compliance Officer and MLRO in directing the compliance function
  • Responsible for implementing policies and procedures and checklists
  • Assisting the Compliance Officer in updating policies, procedures, checklists to ensure CSP remains in line with regulatory developments and requirements
  • Ensuring the meeting of regulatory submission deadlines
  • Undertaking day to day compliance matters including handling emails, updating of client profiles, on-boarding processes, and client reviews
  • Assisting in the organisation of the Compliance department
  • Supporting the employees on regulatory queries including matters related to AML/CFT and Data Protection
  • Reviewing legislative and regulatory update reports and circulating to relevant staff members. Followed by ensuring these updates are then actioned as necessary
  • Tackling regulatory inspections together with the Compliance Officer and MLRO
  • Assisting the Compliance Officer and MLRO with the review of the Business Risk Assessment
  • Overseeing Risk Evaluation Questionnaire (REQ) and Annual Compliance Return (ACR) submissions
  • Assisting in the review of the Client Risk Assessment methodology
  • Preparing Agenda and taking Minutes of Compliance Meetings with Compliance Officer and MLRO
  • Assisting in the preparation of Compliance Reports
  • Together with the Compliance Officer ensuring the Compliance Monitoring Programme is adhered to
  • Overseeing jurisdictional risk assessments
  • Devising sample-based compliance reviews of files and recommending action to be taken on findings
  • Assisting the Compliance Officer and MLRO with AML/CFT and any other ad hoc issues as required

Skills:

  • Experience in regulatory compliance within MFSA-regulated Corporate Service Providers
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a compliance-related role
  • Capable of working within a team, managing multiple tasks and working against stringent deadlines
  • Possess very good interpersonal skills
  • Must have a good command of the English language, in verbal and written forms
  • Good computer skills

Qualifications:

  • Specialised AML training
  • CPD hours in AML/CFT related courses, ideally CSP related
