Head of Security

At the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa is a 4-star superior hotel we are seeking to engage the following on a full-time basis a Head of Security.

As the Head of Security, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations for Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa. You will ensure the safety and protection of our employees, assets, and facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure the safety of the company's employees, assets, and facilities.


• Overseeing the security of contractors, suppliers and vendors on the property.


• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate potential threats.


• Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the company's operations.


• Managing the master keys and key control of the property.


• Reporting health or safety hazards to the General Manager.


• Monitor security systems and respond to incidents and emergencies as needed.


• Monitoring entry and exit to ensure property security and prevent unauthorized access.


• Ensuring duties align with the hotel policy and high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior security role, preferably in a similar industry.


• Strong team leadership and communication skills.


• Deep understanding of security principles and practices, as well as current threats and vulnerabilities.


• In possession of a valid Maltese Security licence.


• Hands-on approach.


• Problem solver.


• Ability to work varying shifts including weekends, nights and public holidays.


• Ability to think critically and problem-solve.


• Ability to drive the team to provide a high level of service and consistency.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.
