An opportunity has arisen for a Land Surveyor / Draughtsperson to join the Drawing Office.

This position is well-suited for Land Surveyors / Draughtspersons with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field, seeking to join a small and dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, capable of working independently, and an effective communicator.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate smooth transitions during handovers, ensuring updated Terminal / Airfield master drawings from as-built drawings at project closure.

  • Verify the accuracy of 'as-fitted' drawings.

  • Participate actively in the preparation and finalization of technical, road work, architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, interior designs, and detailed plans, including drawings, illustrations, sketches, and presentation drawings.

  • Prepare drawings in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Conduct site survey work.

  • Organize and maintain the drawing office libraries.

  • Attend design meetings with project and facility teams.

  • Manage the quantity surveying function along the entire project lifecycle.

  • Analyze and understand architectural/engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).


Requirements

  • Qualifications and skills

    • Strong organizational skills.

    • Ability to multitask effectively.

    • Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft).

    • Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD.

    • Good land surveying skills, including the use of different land surveying instruments.

    • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.

    • Knowledge of civil engineering and Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) designs.

    • Ability to work within a team.

    • Ability to coordinate with other departments.

    • Advanced AutoCAD certification required.



  • Preferable educational background:

    • Enemalta wireman’s licence A and / or B.

    • MCAST advanced /diploma in various engineering fields.

    • 5 years’ experience in drafting with AutoCAD and Land Surveying.

    • Proficiency in English and Maltese languages.

    • Proficient use of Autodesk REVIT is considered an asset.
