Database Developer

Lombard Bank is a long- established credit institution in Malta with a successful and consistent track record as a quality provider of financial services. In line with the Bank’s continued development, the need has arisen to engage suitable individuals to perform the duties of a Database Developer.

The main responsibilities of the role include but not be limited to: 

• Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning 


• Install, tune, implement and upgrade DBMS installations 


• Upgrade, document and improve application schema and data upgrades 


• Map out conceptual designs for planned databases


• Maintain data standards, including adherence to GDPR


• Manage access permissions and privileges


• Develop, manage, test and document backup and recovery plans

 The applicants as a minimum must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related information technology field


• 3 years of experience with database programming languages such as SQL 


• Experience in administering, managing and tuning databases 


• Good understanding of database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance 


• Critical thinking and have problem-solving skills
