Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities
- Handle the procurement, purchasing, inventory control, maintenance of goods, services, and fixed assets for the holding group.
- Work closely within the Procurement team to ensure the accurate execution of work.
- Oversee all aspects of the supply chain to ensure consistent delivery of goods and services, while identifying potential obstacles that could impact productivity.
- Develop solid, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.
- Maintain supplier relationships while actively seeking and developing new supplier options.
- Assess spending practices to enhance product quality and improve delivery timelines.
- Forecast demand for products and services, preparing the procurement team to adjust purchasing schedules and maintain supply chain stability.
- Communicate with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting executions.
- Conduct cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement.
- Work closely with the Director and key experts to make sure contracts and terms negotiated are favorable.
- Follow the necessary purchasing procedure, selecting sup by cost, quality, lead time, payment terms, and warranty.
- Assist in developing the organization's procurement policies, including bid requirements, timelines, and cash purchase limits.
- Obtain technical and financial approvals, place orders, and ensure timely follow-up.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience of the Maltese market acquired through direct experience in Malta.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of suppliers.
- Effective problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
