IELS Malta is a leading English language school operating within the tourism and education industry for over 35 years.

We are currently recruiting EFL teachers to form part of our Academic team to deliver quality lessons to international students. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic EFL Teachers to join our team of teaching professionals on full-time and part-time basis. Chosen candidates will be responsible for teaching English as a foreign language to adults and young learners in a range of classes including General English and conversation classes, and exam preparation classes.

Responsibilities

  • To carefully plan and prepare lessons that correspond to the appropriate level / needs of students.

  • To teach English to speakers of other languages, across a range of levels as required by the Academic Management taking responsibility for the successful learning outcomes of all students.

  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, as advised by the Academic department, including daily class registers and record sheets.

  • To teach in any of the schools / annexes owned by IELS Malta, as well as any other locations as may be required.

  • To monitor students' progress and complete progress reports when necessary.

  • To follow the prescribed syllabus and content of the course, while developing strategies for successful learning in accordance with directives from line management.


Essential Qualifications

  • A recognised 120-hour TEFL or CELTA or equivalent qualification.

  • Proficient in English.

  • Thorough knowledge of the English language.


Applicants with previous experience will be given preference and a competitive remuneration package will be offered to the most suitable applicants in accordance with his / her experience and qualifications.

EFL teachers need to hold the qualification to teach English as a foreign language to be eligible for a Maltese ELT permit.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
