Home Helper

Home help services aim to support older people and persons with special needs in remaining in the community. Persons suffering from a terminal illness, regardless of their age may also benefit from this service. Home help service apart from providing domestic help, should also aim to enhance clients' quality of life and give support so that they can live as independent and active as much as possible within their own community.

Main duties

• Helping in personal grooming, dressing and bed-making


• Helps in the preparation of breakfast


• Aids in errands including collection of medicine, payment of bills etc


• Light domestic work including dusting, washing of floor, washing of cutlery and kitchen appliances


• Ironing of clothes

Knowledge, skills and experience

• Clean police conduct


• Ideally the candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, although not mandatory


• Positive attitude towards clients’ care
