We are looking to employ a Purchasing and Logistics Officer.
Candidates must already be located in Malta.
The role will be that of assisting the Import Purchasing / Logistics Manager. We are looking for a person who is a responsible person, who is highly organised, multi-task and can work under pressure.

Expected to maintain a high accuracy level regarding order processing and communication of all kinds.
Proven work experience in a similar position is considered an asset.

Requirements for the role:
- O' level standard of education.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel: creating formulas, knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, etc.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of Maltese or Italian language would be considered an asset.
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the E-Shop Point-of-Sale program is a plus.
- Knowledge of Customs is a plus.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Preparing and sending purchase orders to various suppliers.
- Checks over orders for accuracy by verifying price, costs, items ordered, addresses of store locations, and transport method.
- Coordinating booking of shipment of goods with freight forwarders.
- Coordinate with storekeepers and warehouse hub of pending deliveries and or delays of shipments.
- Inputting merchandise into Point-of-Sale system.
- Report and update stock discrepancies to suppliers.
- Daily admin work: scanning, filing, shredding, etc.
- Handling of invoicing related to incoming orders.
- Logging and managing a record of all incoming orders.
- Generating any necessary documentation or reports.
- Dealing with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, on the telephone or via e-mail.
