We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational or Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team. You will work with children, teenagers, and young adults with a wide range of learning disabilities and difficulties, supporting them to overcome barriers to learning and development. Our mission is to enable all our members to succeed, regardless of their challenges and become active members of society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-social and educational assessments and evaluations to identify learning difficulties and disabilities in children and young people.
- Provide tailored holistic intervention strategies to support individuals with specific educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties.
- Work closely with parents, developmental interventionists, teachers, and other professionals to create personalized transdisciplinary learning plans and inclusive strategies.
- Support schools and educational settings in developing and maintaining inclusive practices that cater to diverse learners.
- Deliver training and advice to staff and parents on topics related to mental health, well-being, and learning needs.
- Collaborate within transdisciplinary teams to ensure the holistic development of the child or young person.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A post-graduate qualification in Clinical or Educational Psychology (or equivalent) and registration with the relevant professional body are a prerequisite for this role.
- Proven experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and difficulties in inclusive environments.
- Strong knowledge and advocacy of inclusive education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educators.
- A genuine passion for inclusion and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a transdisciplinary team.
