Compliance Officer

We are seeking a full-time Compliance Officer to join our insurance company. This role involves monitoring and assessing the company’s compliance with regulatory obligations, implementing the compliance plan, identifying and investigating compliance risks, advising management and staff on emerging compliance trends and delivering training to staff, conducting regular compliance audits and preparing compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies, liaising with external regulators and ensure timely submission of regulatory filings, and maintaining detailed records of compliance activities. This position is crucial for ensuring our company adheres to all regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate should ideally possess:

• Adequate exposure and work experience in the insurance industry.


• MQF level 6 academic qualification/s in Compliance, Financial Services Regulations, Law or relevant field of study to the role.


• A good understanding of insurance legislation and regulatory requirements.


• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

Furthermore, having already undergone a successful PQ application and acceptance with the MFSA as a Compliance Officer would be considered an asset.
