Job Description

We are currently looking for a motivated and energetic Business Development Senior Executive to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Accountabilities / Key Activities

  • Identifying new business opportunities that generate revenue and help the business grow
  • Actively seeking out new sales and business opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Setting up meetings with potential clients and listening to their wishes and concerns
  • Answering incoming calls from prospective customers
  • Meeting customers face-to-face or over the phone and delivering presentations about our business portfolio
  • Developing relationships with customers
  • Having a thorough understanding of the business portfolio and be able to advise customers about it and ultimately sell
  • Understanding customer needs and providing them with tailored recommendations
  • Recording the customer’s personal information and conversation history accurately in a CRM system
  • Participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Discuss promotional strategies with the Commercial and Marketing Department
  • Negotiating/closing deals and handle complaints or objections
  • Carrying out sales forecasts and analysis where applicable
  • Planning and developing a business and sales strategy
  • Drawing up contracts for the customers where necessary
  • Liaising with the respective teams with the company during and after the sale or negotiation is complete
  • Keeping abreast of trends in the market and monitoring direct competition
  • Reaching any relevant targets

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Proven experience in sales or business development or similar sales role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems
  • Proficiency in English and Maltese
  • Proficiency in MS Office and possibly a CRM software
  • Communicating complex business solutions to customers
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Keeping up to date with the latest products and services
  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
  • Fast learner and passion for sales and business development
  • Being able to handle customers
  • Independent and organised
  • Team effort

Any experience within digital marketing and technology would be considered an asset.
