CE Installations Ltd. provides both installation and maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical services for a wide variety of customers across a diverse range of projects. CE Installations has over 200 multi-cultural employees. Due to recent growth, the company is seeking to recruit a Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager is expected to develop a strategic vision for Human Resources Management within CE Installations Limited and lead the human resources department. The chosen candidate is expected to demonstrate expertise in developing various Human Resources procedures which cover multiple personnel aspects such as setting up a training academy, generate ideas and identify training and development programmes, coordinate performance appraisals and set salary structure amongst others. The Human Resources Manager is also responsible to plan, develop, and implement various human resources practices such as policies and guidelines. The role requires the chosen candidate to communicate personnel policies with the employees, to identify any organisational issues, come up with practices to solve such matters and set workforce career path plans.

General Duties:

  • Implement the strategy of CE Installations Ltd. by monitoring the day-to-day activities of the human and resources operations

  • Take an active role and participate in the managerial department of CE Installations Ltd

  • Coordinate, lead, plan and monitor human resources department activities

  • Prepare department’s progress or status reports

  • Analyse and deal with issues which arise from human and resources work

  • Plan and monitor the human and resources departmental budget

  • Attend relevant training and workshops to increase own knowledge

  • Travel to attend conventions and similar events for recruitment purposes, while also gaining more knowledge and practices


Team Development Duties:

  • Prepare employee work schedules and assign specific duties

  • Coach and mentor employees by providing a career development plan for each employee within the team

  • Manage and monitor key performance indicators set for the human resources department

  • Handle the employees’ performance appraisal within the department

  • Get involved in the recruitment and selection process


Departmental Duties:

  • Design and implement human resources policies and practices in line with the Top Management’s long-term vision

  • Develop a job-fit employee selection by recognising the employee’s strengths and creating a plan how to develop such skills

  • Identify and implement training programmes and lead the setting up a training academy

  • Discuss with the General Manager the employees’ performance and career development

  • Sustain a positive and open to change organisational culture

  • Act as an intermediary between the Top Management and the employees by supporting employees with work-related issues and handling questions related to the work environment

  • Develop and communicate to the employees the company policies and strategic initiatives

  • Maintain a positive workforce environment by mitigating labour disputes and channelling a positive work environment

  • Coordinate and support the Management team with the recruitment and selection process


Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday, provided that the chosen candidate is bound to put in all the necessary hours required for the efficient performance of his/her duties


Experience:

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in a similar position.

  • Have a good command of speaking and writing skills in English and preferably Maltese


Education and Training:

  • Master’s in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or else holds a first degree in Human Resources Management and with 7 years of work experience in a similar role will also be considered favourable

  • European passport or working permission to work in Malta

  • Clean police conduct certificate (must be presented)
