CaterEssence is one of the largest and leading privately owned contract caterers in Malta. Established in 2010, CaterEssence operates from a central food processing unit which is spread over 2000 sq. metres at The Landmark in Qormi, operating and specialising in contract catering and retail food sales.
As the Junior Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the catering operations and services of our outlets. Your role entails to plan, organise, and schedule the food and beverage catering service, while meeting customer expectations, food and hygiene standards and financial targets.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating of operational activities of our outlets by hiring, leading, training and mentoring of staff
- Managing and executing external functions and events
- Establish, monitor, analyse and deliver budgets and plan business to market conditions
- Performs scheduling of service personnel shifts and coordinate all service-related catering activities
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are being adhered to
- Monitor the quality of product and service delivered
- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to their concerns and requirements
- To assist in any other operational duties as deemed necessary
Person Specification (Skills; knowledge; experience; attitude):
- Dedicated, having excellent communication skills
- Multitasking ability coupled with a flexible attitude towards work
- Reliable and honest
- Positive can-do attitude
- Skills to develop and motivate an outstanding team in a supportive and fun environment
- Previous experience and knowledge in all food and beverage operations will be considered an asset
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent management and organizational skills
- Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment
- Strong leadership and motivational skills including the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff
- Possession of a C1 or C1+E driving license will be considered an asset
