The Cloud Engineering Manager will lead the DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud
infrastructure. This role involves a blend of managerial responsibilities, strategic planning, and hands-on technical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and SRE principles.

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.

  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in infrastructure such as code, CI/CD and SRE.

  • Manage and optimize cloud costs while ensuring performance and scalability.

  • Establish and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs to measure and improve service performance.

  • Oversee incident management processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Work closely with development and architecture teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and practices.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on infrastructure status, challenges, and achievements.

  • Taking ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HRBPs and TA teams.

Qualifications

  • Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.



  • Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.

    • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.

    • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GoogleCloud.

    • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation, CDK).

    • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

    • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Data Dog, Sumo Logic).




Skills

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of SRE practices and principles.

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).


Preferred qualifications

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).

  • Experience with microservices architecture. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
