Warehouse Assistant / Driver

The position holder will be responsible for supporting the warehouse operations by efficiently handling and transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the overall organisation of the warehouse.

Detailed description of main tasks

• Unload incoming deliveries, verify the accuracy of orders, and inspect goods for damages or discrepancies.


• Document received items and update inventory records accordingly.


• Organise and maintain warehouse stock, ensuring items are stored properly and easily accessible.


• Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies or low stock levels to the Warehouse Manager.


• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications.


• Ensure all orders are prepared for dispatch in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines.


• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and free of hazards.


• Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment and report any maintenance needs.


• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.


• Participate in safety training and drills as required.


• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secure and protected during transit.


• Transport goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.


• Conduct regular inspections of the company vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.


• Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.


• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivery, considering traffic patterns and delivery schedules.


• Adjust routes as necessary to accommodate changes in delivery priorities or road conditions.


• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.


• Obtain necessary signatures and documentation upon delivery completion.


• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory movements, and vehicle logs.


• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.


• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, management, and customers to ensure smooth operations.


• Report any issues or delays promptly to the Warehouse Manager.


• Assist other team members with tasks as needed, providing support to ensure the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.


• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Any other related tasks which may be required from time to time.

Qualifications / experience / skills

• A good command of English and preferably Maltese too.


• A valid driving license.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Attention to detail.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


• Basic computer skills.


• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Excellent customer service skills.
