Accounts Officer

We are looking for a diligent Accounts Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks and will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Posting of invoices: Accurately record and process supplier invoices.


• Bank reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded.


• Issue payments: Process payments to suppliers in a timely manner.


• Credit control: Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.


• General ledger maintenance: Update and maintain the general ledger with journal entries.


• Prepare financial reports: Assist in preparing monthly / quarterly financial statements and reports for management.


• Budgeting support: Aid in the budgeting process and conduct variance analysis.


• Monitor accounts payable / receivable: Ensure accurate tracking and prompt management of payables and receivables.


• Assist in audits: Provide necessary documentation and information during internal and external audits.


• Petty cash management: Oversee and reconcile petty cash transactions.


• VAT / tax filing: Assist in preparing VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.


• Expense management: Ensure business expenses are recorded and employee reimbursements are processed accurately.


• Payroll support: Assist with the payroll process, ensuring accurate payments and deductions.


• Ensure compliance: Adhere to local and international accounting standards and regulations.


• Collaborate with departments: Provide financial support to various departments for smooth financial operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong accounting knowledge is essential.


• Fluency in English is considered an asset.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.


• Being familiar with Sage Evolution is considered an asset.


• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

The salary ranges between €24,000 to €28,000 depending on experience.
