About the job
As a Sea Freight Agent you will be responsible for the coordination of our customer’s shipments and the main point of contact between customers, customs brokers, and carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with carriers.


• Negotiating rates with carriers.


• Issue quotations and invoices.


• Coordinating the loading and unloading of trailers and containers.


• Arranging collections and deliveries.


• Prepare and lodge import and export Customs declarations.


• Timely data input.


• Complete documentation.


• Interaction with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.


• Liaise with overseas offices and partner transport providers.


• Receive and track purchase orders and invoices from customers and overseas partners.


• Handle and manage contact regarding exceptions.

About the person
The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in a similar role.

The position requires an individual who can work on their own initiative and under tight deadlines.

A sound knowledge of Geography and a high level of IT skills, in particular the use of Word and Excel is a must.
