Excavator / Heavy Plant Operator Course

This excavator training course is designed to provide heavy equipment operators with a solid foundation in:

• Health and safety standards
• Preventative maintenance
• Proper procedures for safe operation

This heavy equipment operator training certification for excavators consists of classroom theory, a written test and practical hands-on experience. Delivered through multimedia presentations and interactive discussion, the course content is then reinforced through workbooks and supplementary handouts.

Please note, that this course is only available as private onsite training.

On completion of this course, the learners will be:

• Aware of the current Health and Safety Legislation as it applies to the safe operation of heavy plants
• Different variants of heavy plants and their different characteristics
• Able to safely operate a Heavy plant
• Blind spot and keep a safe area around a heavy plant
• Stability, moving up and down the slope with a heavy plant
• Lifting capacity
• Transporting and Hauling securement standards
