Undergraduate Higher Diploma in Leadership and Management

This qualification is suitable for adult learners working within the human resources field, who wish to continue to build their portfolio in accredited qualifications related to leadership and management.

Individuals will learn about the importance of the role of the leader/manager and where it originated from; how leadership developed over time. Learners will also be educated about the responsibilities of the leader/manager, and what needs to be done within this role. This qualification does not only focus on the technical skills of being a leader, such as financial literacy, project management and other management processes. Learners will also learn about certain aspects like communication, group dynamics and others.

By the end of the course, the learner will be able to:

• Better knowledge of the leadership role
• Work effectively within the role of a leader/manager
• Effectively communicate between individuals within the organisation structure
• Knowledge of organisation skills and behaviour
• Problem-solving with complex situations within a company, including delegation and decision-making
• Lead the organisation towards its values, vision, mission and culture

Prerequisites

• A qualification of minimum Level 4 in Leadership and Management; OR
• A MATSEC Certificate; AND An O level or equivalent in English Language
