AI is contributing to each sphere of life. Decision-makers can ensure well-informed decisions utilizing the latest AI tools and techniques.
The main objective of this program is to equip managers, decision-makers, designers and planners to better understand how AI can help them, analyse the need for AI tools, select the right tools and techniques and effectively use them to solve the problem at hand. They can also develop a career as an AI consultant advising organisations to optimally exploit the potential of AI to meet their business interests.

The overall course objectives are:
Knowledge:
- Critically reflect on and appraise the utility of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in commerce
- Critically evaluate fundamental approaches to implementing intelligent behaviour in machines
- Analyse the techniques and applications of AI across industries
- Evaluate the ethical and social impacts of AI technologies while developing critical judgement, intellectual integrity and
- practical skills on client-facing projects
- Critically examine the development of the body of knowledge that relates to automated reasoning, knowledge representation and machine learning and its application to real-world problems and datasets
Skills:
- Develop and apply intelligent systems for solving complex problems in selected industries as appropriate
- Construct and configure solutions using a range of AI technologies
- Apply machine learning, statistical and data mining approaches to solve potential business problems
- Develop and apply software in various areas for the selected industry as appropriate
Competences:
- Critically evaluate the applicability of machine learning, statistical and data mining approaches
- Judiciously examine the issues involved in building and maintaining reliable software for the ever-changing and fast-paced demands of today’s companies
- Design, develop and implement an independent postgraduate research project that integrates relevant literature and appropriate methodologies to explore specific issues
- Evaluate and develop a set of methodologies to advance opportunities applicable for business optimisation by applying
- Artificial Intelligence concepts, principles and models
- Critically evaluate the application of algorithms to given problems
Prerequisites
Candidates who apply for this course must possess one of the following:
- A Level 6 degree related to AI/Computer-Science/Mathematics/Electronics field;OR
- A Level 6 degree not related to AI/Computer Science/Mathematics/Electronics and a minimum of two years’ relevant experience;OR
- A Level 5 diploma or higher diploma and five years’ of relevant work experience
- Students whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate English language capability at IELTS level 6.0 or equivalent

Modules
You are required to complete all 7 compulsory modules (42 ECTS), and only 3 elective modules out of the proposed 5 (18 ECTS), as well as the Dissertation (30 ECTS) to fulfil the requirements of this Master’s Degree.
How you’ll be assessed
Structure and Assessment
This is a part-time programme and will typically take 30 months to complete. The programme comprises a total of 10 modules. The method of assessment is assignment-based.
The course comprises:
- 6 lectures per module
- 3-hour lectures (evening)
- 12 hours of guided learning and presentations, comprising synchronous online discussions, tutorials and/or videos
- Self-study hours comprising research, reading and assignment work
The course also includes additional, specialised support to help you write your dissertation, including classes on qualitative/quantitative data analysis tools and dissertation workshops.
