Job Description
The role of a Finance Executive involves generating invoices, posting payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure that payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Whilst reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this employee is also responsible for communicating with customers regarding payment inquiries or issues, maintaining accurate records of payments and transactions, compiling management accounts and working closely with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
General duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the monthly and yearly account closures.
- Supporting the process of purchase orders and sales invoices.
- Maintaining and updating the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
- Timely preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assisting with any other ad-hoc duties as may be required from time to time.
- Intercompany reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Supporting cash flow management.
- Debtors management.
- Liaising with the auditors and bank representatives.
- Monthly performance reporting and analysis.
Position requirements:
- An Advanced level in Accountancy would be preferred or partly qualified in ACCA.
- Previous experience in Accounts / Finance departments or a related field is a must.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations related to accounts receivable, is important.
- Familiarity with accounting software and other relevant tools.
- Must be able to speak and write both Maltese and English fluently.
- Clean police conduct.
