A central, dedicated, procurement team based out of Malta oversees and manages all company agreements and purchasing. We seek a Junior Purchasing Manager to complement our growing team of industry professionals.

Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, your responsibilities will include:

  • Regular contact with suppliers and vendors to maintain and optimize the services provided;
  • Ensure terms of performance, quality, and cost are adhered to by third parties;
  • Monitor the wider marker for emerging opportunities from new vendors;
  • Manage third-party contractual agreements as required by liaising with relevant stakeholders, including legal counsel;
  • Monitoring of stock levels in stores and assist Purchasing Executives to maintain adequate stock levels in all stores;
  • Liaise with internal requisitioners in following the purchasing process;
  • Track purchasing activities and follow up on assigned projects to ensure seamless and efficient outcomes;
  • Ensure daily activities remain efficient and compliant with company policies and procedures;
  • Support Purchasing teams to develop and implement strategies as required by the business;
  • Engage in the workplace with enthusiasm, perseverance, a positive attitude, and flexibility to complement company standards.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Tertiary education and / or previous experience in procurement and SAP is considered an asset;
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, planning, and organisational skills;
  • Excellent communication and team playing skills;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work under own initiative, independently as well as within a team;
  • Willing to travel if / when required;
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Be highly motivated with a high level of attention to detail.
