We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join our team.
The company
Valletta Gateway Terminals Ltd is a joint venture between Portek Group of Singapore and Tumas Group of Malta. It was established on the 9th of June 2006 and on the 1st of July of the same year the Mata Maritime Authority awarded the company a 30-year concession agreement to operate and manage the Grand Harbour Terminals.
Being multi-purpose, the terminals can handle roll-on / roll-off (RoRo) operations, trailers, containers, conventional cargo and also vehicles.
Duties and responsibilities of a Senior Finance Officer which includes, but are not limited to the following:
- Setting up of new processes, such as online payment process
- Reviewing, amending and managing Finance Policies
- Verifying and keeping proper records of company assets, including inventory
- Manifest balance report à Revenue reconciliation / allocation
- Liaising with clients on Account receivables and sending of statement / reports to clients
- Performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations such as FS5 and VAT reconciliations
- Keeping and maintaining proper physical and electronic records
- Updating and keeping proper records of documents such as prepayments invoices or CAPEX invoices and performing reconciliation with financial statements
Requirements:
- A’ level standard in Accounts
- Candidates who have started their ACCA qualification will be given preference
- Relevant experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong team player with interpersonal and collaboration skills
