Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join us in the role of HR and Payroll Manager. You will play a pivotal role in executing our human resources functions and managing our HR and Payroll team. This position requires a proactive and organized individual who can seamlessly navigate between tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment by posting job openings, reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews
- Handle the onboarding process for new employees, including completing paperwork and setting up employee records and apply for their work permits
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems
- Support payroll processing and benefits administration
- Prepare monthly payroll journals for monthly ledger posting
- Manage all employees’ tax returns, social security reports and all other payroll related to government reporting and submissions
- Coordinate training and development programs for employees
- Assist with performance management processes, tracking performance reviews and employee evaluations
- Handle administrative tasks such as organizing meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
- Support general HR functions, employee relations, compliance, and policies implementation
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements:
- 2-3-year experience in a previous role or similar
- Knowledge of payroll softwares
- Knowledge of Maltese payroll procedures and employment law
- Knowledge of English language (required)
- Knowledge of Maltese language (considered an asset)
- Being able to work from Monday to Saturday
- Having a strong business initiative is a must
- Being able to work on own initiative and manage the team
