Job Description

St. Aloysius College is currently seeking to recruit a Human Resources Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis.

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in administrative and HR matters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with recruitment and engagement processes, including preparation of contracts, Jobsplus submission, liaison with related entities and other documentation as required
  • Deal with entities on working permits for newly relocated employees, social security, and tax number applications
  • Offboard duties including following up on contracts, Jobsplus documentation and liaising with payroll and related entities
  • Create and update records ensuring the accuracy and validity of information
  • Conduct orientation for new employees
  • Keep up to date with local employment laws and advise accordingly
  • Follow up on employee relations
  • Prepare correspondence, emails, reports and other documents
  • Maintain office documents, files and confidential records
  • Be responsible for the administration of HR policies and programs
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and policy gaps

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Possess an eye for detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrate a level of professionalism and ability to work without supervision
  • Be able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Be self-motivated and possess problem-solving skills
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar position
  • Be a team player
