Job Description

The Lean Coordinator is responsible for leading and implementing lean principles and practices. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing processes in administrative and support functions. The Lean Coordinator will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that lean methodologies are applied to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the application of lean methodologies in office settings, including value stream mapping, standard work, waste elimination. Tailor traditional lean tools to suit office-based processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify inefficiencies in administrative processes. Lead initiatives to simplify workflows, reduce redundancies, and improve overall process efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on lean principles specific to the office environment. Mentor employees to build lean capabilities and encourage a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and manage lean projects focused on office operations, such as improving document workflows, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing communication channels.
  • Work closely with departments to support lean initiatives. Facilitate communication and teamwork across areas to ensure successful lean implementations.
  • Gather and analyze data related to office processes, such as cycle times, error rates, and productivity metrics. Use this data to identify areas for improvement and track the impact of lean projects.
  • Develop and implement standardized work procedures and office best practices. Ensure that improvements are documented and sustained through continuous monitoring and adjustment.
  • Lead problem-solving sessions to address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in office processes. Utilize lean tools like PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and root cause analysis to resolve issues.
  • Support and manage the change process as lean initiatives are rolled out, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption by office staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in applying lean principles, with a successful track record of leading lean initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles and their application in office settings.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and motivate office staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant process improvement tools
  • Self-motivated and proactive in driving change.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence at all levels.
  • Adaptable and able to tailor lean tools to office-based processes.
