Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Field Officer to oversee on-site construction activities and ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with safety standards, project specifications, and timelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site operations, managing teams, and ensuring efficient communication between contractors, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring quality standards and safety protocols are adhered to.
- Project coordination: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and engineers to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
- Progress monitoring: Track project milestones and deadlines, reporting on progress to senior management and flagging any issues that may cause delays.
- Safety compliance: Ensure all safety regulations and protocols are strictly followed by workers and contractors. Conduct safety audits regularly.
- Material management: Assist in coordinating the delivery and use of construction materials, ensuring timely availability of resources.
- Client interaction: Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or 5 years of proven experience as a Field Officer, Site Supervisor, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Valid driver’s license.
