We are now seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to join our dynamic team.

Role Description
As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift, ensuring that all guests receive high-quality service and that hotel standards are consistently maintained. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to resolve any issues efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations across all departments, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for guests, addressing and resolving any queries, complaints, or emergencies in a professional manner.
  • Ensure that all hotel policies and procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and secure environment for both guests and staff.
  • Support the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage teams in managing peak periods and maintaining service excellence.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance team to address any issues promptly and ensure guest comfort.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and submit detailed shift reports to the Management team.
  • Assist in training and developing team members to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Good knowledge of hotel operations and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in Maltese and English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
