Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Legal Manager to provide comprehensive legal support across our organization. This role involves advising executive management and ensuring that all business practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, the Senior Legal Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a small team of legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the Executive Management on various legal issues, including but not limited to contracts, litigation, legal affairs and corporate governance.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, policies, and regulations.
  • Ensure all contracts, agreements and policies comply with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations that impact the gaming industry and provide proactive guidance.
  • Provide guidance on employment law, intellectual property, and contract disputes.
  • Manage employment disputes, conduct investigations, and represent the company in employment-related proceedings.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings.
  • Manage legal risk and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities. Coordinate and oversee external legal work to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain corporate records and ensure timely filings and registrations.
  • Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  • Collaborate in managing the legal department budget.
  • Prepare and present legal reports to senior management.
  • Develop and implement data privacy policies and practices in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Maintain, prepare and submit license applications, renewals, and reports.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and manage data breach responses.
  • Conduct regulatory risk analysis for new and existing markets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Bar exam of equivalent accreditation.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a legal role.
  • Previous Gaming experience at international level with knowledge of regulatory compliance is a must-have.
  • Proven experience in managing a legal team.
  • Experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Membership in a professional legal body is preferred.
