Job Description

Mizzi Motors Ltd is seeking to employ an Accounts Executive on a full-time basis to join its current team.

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for performing the day-to-day duties related to the accounts department and assisting the Assistant Financial Controller in the closure of the monthly management accounts.

Tasks:

  • Perform the day-to-day duties of the Accounts department.
  • Be responsible for the accruals and prepayment workings.
  • Update the fixed asset register and pass monthly depreciation accordingly.
  • Reconcile on a monthly basis the credit card statements.
  • Account for the travel requests of various companies.
  • Reconcile the monthly suspense accounts.
  • Be responsible for the commission workings related to car sales.
  • Process requests for payment.
  • Perform banking, cashiering transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist colleagues and superiors as required to ensure that end-of-month deadlines are met. Perform any other duties which may be assigned by his/her direct superior from time to time. Adhere strictly to the health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report any near misses, hazards or accidents to the health and safety coordinator or any other staff member in the human resources department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A’ level education and/or AAT qualification in Accounts.
  • ECDL Qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar position will be considered as an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates currently in the process to get ACCA qualification or equivalent.
