Job Description
Our client, Fish and Fish Limited with offices located in Ghaxaq, is an established Maltese Company, which operates and manages fish farms. They are currently seeking to recruit an Accounts Executive on a full-time reduced-hours basis (approximately 20 hours per week).
Whilst reporting to the Group’s Chief Financial Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for recording and posting supplier invoices and payments, raising sales invoices, and making payments via an internet banking platform. S/he will also allocate customer receipts, handle supplier payments, and manage reconciliations with supplier statements and queries. Additionally, s/he will be tasked with bank and inter-company reconciliations, assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and other statutory returns, and providing support with various accounting and administrative matters. The candidate will also assist in ad-hoc management reporting as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of an A’ level in Accounting;
- Experience in accountancy and bookkeeping formalities;
- The ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision within a dynamic environment;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;
- Experience using Shireburn Financial Management; and,
- A good command of the English and Maltese languages.
