Job Description

We are currently seeking an ICT Specialist / Systems Administrator to join our team.

Reporting to the Technical Architect / Head IT, the ICT Specialist / Systems Administrator will mainly be performing the following duties:

  • To assist the Technical Architect and other staff in the IT section in the day-to-day operation and development of the IT infrastructure.
  • Monitoring of all networks and services 24×7 operation to ensure high availability.
  • To form part of a team which provides expert TOS support to the business operation. This includes working towards finding solutions to challenges resulting from the daily use of the TOS in production.
  • To be part of a team which implements upgrades or replacements to the TOS.
  • Responsible for the resolution of hardware issues, deployment of new systems and reinstallation of operating systems as required.
  • Offer 1st and 2nd line support to our internal/external clients and to the IT team in general.
  • Provide IT support as necessary and any related task as may be instructed by the Department Management.
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of security alerts, audit logs and reports.

Background and skills required for the role:

  • National Higher Diploma in an IT discipline or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience in an IT administrative / support environment.
  • Vendor Certification such as CCNA and MCSA Windows Server 2012, 2019 or higher is considered as an asset.
  • Have a broad knowledge in Networking, Sub netting TCP / IP addressing, VLANs.
  • Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Have a good understanding of VMware technologies.
  • Be a team player and ready to work long hours and under pressure.
  • Display strong organizational and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possess a driving license and fluent in the Maltese language.
  • Should have no issue working at heights.
