ICT Specialist / Systems Administrator

We are currently seeking an ICT Specialist / Systems Administrator to join our team.

Reporting to the Technical Architect / Head IT, the ICT Specialist / Systems Administrator will mainly be performing the following duties:

To assist the Technical Architect and other staff in the IT section in the day-to-day operation and development of the IT infrastructure.
Monitoring of all networks and services 24×7 operation to ensure high availability.
To form part of a team which provides expert TOS support to the business operation. This includes working towards finding solutions to challenges resulting from the daily use of the TOS in production.
To be part of a team which implements upgrades or replacements to the TOS.
Responsible for the resolution of hardware issues, deployment of new systems and reinstallation of operating systems as required.
Offer 1st and 2nd line support to our internal/external clients and to the IT team in general.
Provide IT support as necessary and any related task as may be instructed by the Department Management.
Continuous monitoring and analysis of security alerts, audit logs and reports.

Background and skills required for the role:

National Higher Diploma in an IT discipline or equivalent.
2 years experience in an IT administrative / support environment.
Vendor Certification such as CCNA and MCSA Windows Server 2012, 2019 or higher is considered as an asset.
Have a broad knowledge in Networking, Sub netting TCP / IP addressing, VLANs.
Possess good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
Have a good understanding of VMware technologies.
Be a team player and ready to work long hours and under pressure.
Display strong organizational and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Possess a driving license and fluent in the Maltese language.
Should have no issue working at heights.
