This role contributes to the success of the Business Performance and Analysis (BP&A) department of the Group. The role includes interacting with Group employees on all levels to complete regular comprehensive financial planning, timely analysis, and adequate management information systems (MIS). The role is responsible for contribution to both routine results including internal MIS reporting, long-range plans, budgets, forecasts, other reports; as well as various ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for executing related tasks, along with continuous improvements. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Reporting responsibilities– primarily MIS / Financial planning and analysis:
    • Executes regular MIS financial performance reporting within the reporting calendar – daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports / dashboards / KPIs with various levels of granularity;
    • Monitors established KPI;
    • Ensures adequate expense allocation and expense reporting;
    • Manages adequate internal FTP mechanism;
    • Executes accurate and timely customer profitability reporting;
    • Ensures ad hoc reporting as and when requested;
    • Improves and refines MIS reporting tools and dashboards to drive management decisions.
  • Predictive responsibilities– primarily MIS / Financial planning and analysis:
    • Executes regular business pipeline process with a focus on financial impact and regulatory capital utilization;
    • Executes regular financial performance and key ratios forecasting;
    • Contributes to annual budget and long-range plan compilation;
    • Improves and refines MIS predictive tools and dashboards to drive management decisions.
  • Analysis responsibilities:
    • Regularly monitors and analyses the performance of Group, subsidiaries, business lines, and customers against budgets, forecasts, trends, KPIs and other relevant benchmarks; proposes corrective measures as needed;
    • Contrasts Group performance to relevant peers or competitors;
    • Provides regular expense analysis;
    • Provides supporting financial analysis for various decisions, including well-supported recommendations;
    • Assist with guidance on how to achieve the business plans;
    • Conducts financial modelling and scenario simulations;
    • Handles ad hoc queries;
    • Prepares various presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data, model related responsibilities:
    • Ensures reliable, accurate, and timely data / data sources;
    • Maintains various data models and ensures continuous progress (improving status quo/streaming / future proofing);
    • Efficiently handles large amounts of data (including extraction, cleansing, analytics, and presentation);
    • Maintains data and work files housekeeping (files, folders, user rights, etc.);
    • Drive and support implementation of systems / operational improvements / other projects/enhancements
  • Team related responsibilities:
    • Collaborates within the Finance department and within the wider Group in order to achieve the Group’s goals;
    • Develops and maintains up-to-date procedures, manuals, guidelines, and workflow documentation;
    • Strives to improve self and wider team knowledge and to increase efficiencies;
    • Cooperates horizontally within the Group.

Qualifications​ and ​Skills:

  • BA in accounting, finance, banking, statistics, data field; MA preferred;
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience, ideally 2 years in a similar role within a complex financial institution;
  • On track toward professional certification (CFA, CPA, ACCA, etc.) preferred;
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the bank’s core operating and reporting systems;
  • Understanding of IFRS principles and banking regulations;
  • Willingness to learn new technology and data tools , covering data management, warehousing, ETL, analytics, business intelligence, visualization, reporting tools;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, skilled in data tools and visualization;
  • Good English written and verbal communication, presentation skills; and
  • Critical thinker, problem solver, strong time management and organizational skills with get things done and KISS (keep it simple and short) mindset;
  • Excellent team player, with strong integrity, confidentiality and professional and industry ethics.
