Overall purpose of the position
The Quality Assurance Inspector will carry out sampling, testing, calibration, measuring, recording, and analyzing of results.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform field sampling of terminal tanks, service stations and road this may involve preparing samples for export.
- Perform approved laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data.
- Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment.
- Pickup and delivery of goods from/to third parties.
- Perform lab stock-take including glassware, reagents and gases.
- Perform instrument calibration.
- Be on the lookout to identify and correct any non-conformances with regard to quality, operational or safety matters.
- Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with company QMS and HSE manuals.
- Work closely with the quality assurance manager to ensure an effective and comprehensive quality service is provided to the customer.
- Assist in blending of fuels.
Qualifications and work experience required to meet position objectives:
- Science-based O’ level education level preferably in chemistry.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset.
- Must possess a clean Maltese driving license.
