Job Description

Corinthia St George’s Bay is seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Manager to champion our commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves implementing, monitoring, and reviewing our security, health, and safety measures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with all legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of security, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead and Supervise a team of Security Officers.
  • Preparing security team member rosters and contributing to end-of-month security reports.
  • Conducts regular patrols throughout the hotel premises to ensure security and safety.
  • Oversee the receiving function of the hotel, ensuring that all goods and services delivered to the hotel are properly received, inspected, and documented in coordination with the receiving officer.
  • Ensures that all fire equipment across the property is in good working condition and certified as per local legislation.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Organize and coordinate comprehensive training programs to ensure awareness and compliance at all levels.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and manage the response to security incidents and natural disasters.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all guests, employees, and on-site contractors through diligent oversight and adherence to legal standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Safety and Security Manager within the service sector, preferably in hospitality.
  • Leadership skills with a zero-tolerance approach to breaches in security, health, and safety.
  • Be able to solve practical problems quickly and efficiently when the need arises.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff at all levels and promote a culture of safety.
  • IT literacy and experience with managing CCTV systems.
  • A Hands-on individual, who is also willing to cover security officer shifts when the need arises.
  • A can-do attitude and commitment.
