Job Description

Cherubino Ltd is a dynamic and growing company committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Finance team as a Stock Controller.  This role forms part of the Stock Control Unit, which reports to the CFO. The Stock Controller position is purely within the remit of inventory control but is also tied with providing support to internal users as regards to stock levels, pricing and margin support. It is also crucial that the necessary updates and entries in the inventory control system are done in a timely fashion, in order to prevent any unnecessary queries from other Departments. These can merely be avoided by continuous updates so that the inventory system will ultimately portray the true picture of the physical stock.

Responsibilities 

  • Advise the respective suppliers of any discrepancies in relation to the original invoice in incoming consignments.
  • Enter-in new stock consignments in a timely fashion.
  • Input customs entries on the Malta Customs online portal so that goods can be cleared from customs.
  • Manage location transfers within the inventory system.
  • Provide the required support to department sales managers on stock levels, expiries and product margins.
  • Carry out price changes on the system and other adjustments to product stock cards.
  • Provide management with the required information on products close to the expiry date.
  • Place orders for new inventory.
  • Check and amend levels in the inventory system of any items returned from retail outlets.
  • Perform stock adjustments within the stipulated timeframe of any discrepancies detected between the inventory system and the items in stock.
  • Strict observance of company confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Able to use confidently the company’s inventory system.
  • Possess an O’ level standard of education or equivalent.
  • A good command of the English language is a must.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools especially in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain a healthy rapport with internal users and to work under constant pressure.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Applying a positive attitude of ‘can do’, ‘speed’ and ‘passion’.
  • Previous experience in inventory management will be given priority.
