Job Description

Cherubino Ltd is a dynamic and growing company committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Credit Controller.

Employment type: Full-time (consideration for part-time – 30 hours).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain an effective credit control policy, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Take an active role in the debt collection process.
  • Set credit terms for new and existing customers.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions to ensure payment deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular credit reviews and make recommendations for credit limit adjustments.
  • Prepare and analyse credit reports for management review.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payments.
  • Assisting the Finance team in other ad-hoc tasks as may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of credit control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in the Maltese language (spoken and written) is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse financial data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Shireburn Financial Management (SFM) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • A’ level standard in Accounting, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in credit control or a relevant finance role.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to collections.
