Cherubino Ltd is a dynamic and growing company committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team as a Credit Controller.
Employment type: Full-time (consideration for part-time – 30 hours).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain an effective credit control policy, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Take an active role in the debt collection process.
- Set credit terms for new and existing customers.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions to ensure payment deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Conduct regular credit reviews and make recommendations for credit limit adjustments.
- Prepare and analyse credit reports for management review.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payments.
- Assisting the Finance team in other ad-hoc tasks as may be required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of credit control principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in the Maltese language (spoken and written) is a must.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse financial data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of Shireburn Financial Management (SFM) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
- A’ level standard in Accounting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in credit control or a relevant finance role.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to collections.
