Cassar Fuel Limited is seeking to recruit an Accounts Officer on a full-time basis. The selected individual will have the opportunity to grow and be part of a team.

Job details:
- Accounts payable: Invoicing goods, receipting and payment allocation.
- Accounts receivable: Issuing invoices and performing reconciliation.
- Open new companies if necessary and liaise with authorities.
- Recording bank transactions and reconciliation.
- Managing interactions with our insurance companies.
- Assisting subordinates and ensuring all work is up to date.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assistance with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Contacting clients about invoices that are past due.
- Assist with company stocks.
- Maintaining the SFM up to date and fulfilling all requirements by the Accounts department.
- Liaising with external bodies and external auditors.
Requirements for the role:
- Ideally a candidate pursuing ACCA and / or is in the process of achieving a degree in equivalent professional qualification.
- 3+ years’ experience.
- Microsoft Office literate: solid Excel knowledge.
- Be familiar with accounting software.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Interest and Willingness to learn about financial markets.
- Smart, polite and presentable attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Maltese and English, additional European languages will be advantageous.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Proactive approach and ability to work both in a team and individually.
