Amino Chemicals is an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients manufacturer that has been developing innovative and proprietary processes since 1993.

The company is looking for a Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to join our team.

Position Overview
As a Supply Chain and Procurement Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the intricate supply chain processes and procurement activities critical to the production and distribution of the products. Your role will involve managing the sourcing of raw materials, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing inventory management to support the company’s mission of delivering high-quality on time to clients and partners.

As the Supply Chain and Procurement Manager you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and efficiency of our company’s supply chain operations. Your strategic leadership, regulatory expertise, and commitment to quality will contribute to the success of our mission to deliver high-quality products to our partners worldwide

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic procurement planning: Develop and execute strategic procurement plans aligned with the organization’s objectives, including sourcing strategies for pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies.
  • Supplier and clients relationship management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and clients. Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements to secure favourable terms and ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials.
  • Compliance and regulatory oversight: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards governing pharmaceutical procurement, including GMP, FDA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Inventory management: Implement robust inventory management practices to optimize stock levels, minimize expiration risks, and prevent stockouts. Utilize forecasting techniques and demand planning to ensure adequate inventory to meet production schedules and customer demand.
  • Quality assurance and control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout the supply chain.
  • Logistics and distribution: Coordinate the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products to ensure timely delivery and adherence to temperature-sensitive requirements. Implement cold chain management practices to maintain product integrity during transit.
  • Risk management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance concerns. Develop contingency plans and business continuity strategies to minimize the impact of potential disruptions on operations.
  • Performance monitoring and reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of procurement and supply chain activities. Generate regular reports and analytics to track key metrics, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Pharmaceutical Procurement or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain best practices, including cold chain logistics, inventory management, and quality assurance principles.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical procurement software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team, fostering a culture of compliance, quality, and innovation in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.
