Job Description

Abertax Quality Ltd., a leading Maltese company in battery technologies and innovation for over 25 years, is seeking for a self-driven and proactive individual to join our team on full-time basis. The main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Procurement
    • Obtaining quotes and negotiate with suppliers with the aim of contracting the best possible buying prices, quality and timely delivery of purchases.
    • Maintaining close relationships with existing suppliers and identifying new potential sources within the same field.
    • Select suppliers for new products through effective use of proven procurement skills.
    • Placing of purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries according to lead times both locally and overseas.
    • Coordinate import and export operations.
    • Evaluation of the performance of transport and delivery of suppliers.
    • Prepare reports such as bid summaries.
    • Monitoring of stock levels to satisfy production demands, avoid out-of-stock situations whilst ensuring no overstocking of goods.
    • Raising of complaints to suppliers and follow through when / if goods received are non-conforming to specifications ordered.
  • Sales
    • Responsible for the direct sales of the company’s products for the local market and effectively manage all stages of sales cycles.
    • Maintain an excellent rapport with all our clients.
    • Planning calls and organising one-to-one meetings to promote and motivate customers to buy from the company’s portfolio.
    • Participate in industry functions as and when necessary.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • A good command of both the English and Maltese language (both written and spoken);
    • Ideally have experience in procurement, logistic and sales environment.
    • Experience working in a manufacturing organisation operating within an MRP environment
    • Strong negotiations, time management and organization skills.
    • Be a team player, friendly, motivated, bright, target oriented and can perform under pressure.
    • Strong and effective selling skills.
    • Be proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
