Job Description
Piscopo Gardens is seeking an experienced individual to join the company’s growing landscaping team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintain a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces that meet the needs of Piscopo Garden’s clients while enhancing the natural environment. The selected individual will pair-up with like-minded colleagues to undertake and execute different projects in numerous public and private locations, providing a tailor-made and creative service to the company’s numerous clients.
Position Overview
The role of the selected candidate is described as the execution, handling and maintaining of outdoor landscaping spaces. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plant a multitude of different plants, trees and flowers in diverse spaces.
- Maintain gardens, lawns and selected public spaces through mowing, trimming, pruning, raking and weeding.
- Execute high-end projects through the installation of sprinkler systems, irrigation, turf, pathways, patios and ledges.
- Monitor and understand plant diseases and cures, to water and fertilize appropriately.
- Liaise with key individuals within the Landscaping team to advise on long-term care and development of landscapes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding the storage, use and safety of equipment used for work, ensure equipment and vehicles are kept in proper working and safe conditions, free of debris and materials.
Qualifications Overview
The successful candidate will have experience in the field of landscaping, with skills taken into special consideration including;
- Problem-solving skills.
- Communication and initiative.
- In possession of a valid driving licence.
- Experience in using equipment and tools such as tractors, mowers and leaf blowers.
The selected candidate will have to speak and write English fluently and possess good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of any another language will be considered an asset, but not essential.
The selected candidate must have a clear passport with no travel restrictions, no legal convictions held at any time and be in possession of a clean driving licence.
